This subject deals with the general concepts and principles pertaining to complex pattern of interaction between the physical environment and biological communities on Earth. Emphasis is also given on the current environmental issues and concerns as well as disaster risk management techniques. 

This course is intended for students who are intending to pursue a degree leading to Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Mechanism of heredity and variation, cytogenetics, mutation, nature of genes, population genetics, quantitative genetics, human genetics and evolutionary genetics; biometrical procedures.
