This three-unit Intel Teach-inspired course is
designed to introduce post-graduate students taking up Doctor of Education to
the underlying principles of instruction and how instruction can be facilitated
using technology. Throughout the trimester, students will become acquainted
with all aspects of instructional technology. Students will by necessity become
proficient with the computer as a teacher’s tool as they use the computer for
word processing, multimedia presentation, spreadsheet development and
publication for communication not only in the classroom but also among their
colleagues in the academe. At the completion of the course, students will have
familiarity with the tools found in the instructional technology field and be
able to integrate those technologies into their Unit Plans. On-line
teaching-learning processes will also be included.
