MMA 311 – Multimedia Publishing is a course that focuses on the planning, design, production, and distribution of multimedia content across print and digital platforms. The subject explores how text, images, audio, video, and interactive elements are combined to create engaging and effective publications for different audiences and purposes.
Students learn the fundamentals of layout design, typography, editorial structure, and content organization while integrating multimedia tools and software used in modern publishing workflows. The course also covers digital publishing formats such as e-books, online magazines, interactive PDFs, websites, and social media content.
Emphasis is placed on content strategy, visual consistency, usability, and audience engagement. Students are also introduced to industry standards, publishing processes, and ethical considerations such as copyright, intellectual property, and responsible media distribution. By the end of the course, students are expected to produce cohesive and professionally designed multimedia publications suitable for both academic and industry settings.
